Argyll Charitable Trust
The Argyll Charitable Trust – is run by Volunteer Trustees who all work for the benefit of The Argyll Bowling Club. We ensure that the premises are well looked after for the use of the community, public and members of Argyll Bowling Club who enjoy the Gardens and its facilities.
We voluntarily run and organize contracts for:-
-
The Argyll Café
-
Our Greenkeeper who professionally looks after our bowling greens
-
Our excellent Cleaning staff.
-
We also oversee or undertake wherever possible the maintenance of the premises. We ensure that all statutory checks are carried out and are up to date working closely with BCP Council.
Bequests and Donations to your Club
Your Bowls Club will no doubt have played an important part in your life and thus the future and welfare of the Club will be equally important.
Leaving a bequest to Argyll Bowling Club is one of the best ways of having a lasting impact on the Club.
-
If you are a UK taxpayer, a gift in your Will is free from tax and it could reduce the inheritance tax due on your estate. From 6 April 2012, if you leave at least 10% of your estate to charity the tax due on the remainder given to other beneficiaries reduces from 40% to 36%.
-
You might also be able to obtain some relief from certain taxes such as Income Tax when you donate to a charity during your lifetime.
It is strongly recommended that should you wish to support Argyll through a legacy, or a donation, you should seek qualified legal and/or financial advice to ensure that your interests are protected, and your wishes properly recorded.
Argyll Gardens Bowling Clubs Trust is a registered charity, number 1069755
-
Individual Donations We can claim back 25p every time an individual donates £1 or more to Argyll Gardens Bowling Club Charitable Trust . This is called Gift Aid.
-
Corporate donations If you give money to a charity your corporation tax bill is reduced. Essentially the amount you donate is deducted from your business profit pre-tax, therefore reducing the amount of tax your company pays. Your donation allows companies to take active interests in their own communities and can also lead to a huge boost in employee morale. If a company chooses to make a corporate donation, workplace culture can improve with increased employee involvement and a positive general attitude.
-
Leaving gifts to charity in your will
-
Your will says what will happen to your money, property and possessions after you die.
-
Your donation will either: be taken off the value of your estate before Inheritance Tax is calculated
-
Or reduce your Inheritance Tax rate, if 10% or more of your estate is left to charity
